Caraxes
Unlike his niece/wife, Daemon has seen his fair share of bloodshed already.
Knighted at a young age, Daemon was dubbed King of the Narrow Sea forhis victory at the Stepstones.
Caraxes is his giant, red-scaled dragon.
First ridden by Daemon’s uncle Aemon, Caraxes is a slightly deformed dragon in the series.

This is about to change as Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) prepares to attack alongside his men.
Vhagar
Vhagars first appearance in the series was highly anticipated by readers ofGeorge R.R.
Vhagar was first ridden by the Queen Visenya Targaryen, one of Aegon the Conquerer’s sister wives.
After her, Vhagar was ridden by Viserys' father, Baelon.
It isn’t until Laena Velaryon (Nanna Blondell) that Vhagar finds his third rider.

Vhagar was ridden one more time after that, by Aemond, who claimed Vhagar as his own.
Balerion
The Heirs of the Dragon ends with a prophetic message that Viserys delivers to his daughter.

Aegon the Conqueror wasnt just the Targaryen King that united the warring clans of Westeros.
Balerion was passed down by multiple generations of Targaryens.
He died not long after Viserys claimed him.

Also referred to as The Black Dread, Balerions wingspan would cover an entire town.
Balerion was the last dragon descended from Old Valyria before it was destroyed in a volcanic blast.

When Alyssa died, Meleys was claimed by Rhaenys.
While fighting against Aemond and Vhagar, both Rhaenys and Meleys die at the hands of the Greens.
Seasmoke
Like its rider, Seasmoke is a younger and more nimble dragon.

Both in the show and in the novel that originated it, Moondancer has pale green skin.
Vermax
Vermax is bonded to Rhaenyra’s son, Jacerys (Leo Hart).

Arrax is gray with red spikes, and is notably similar in appearance to Seasmoke.
Both Arrax and Lucerys die because Vhagar attacks them.
The dragon has been retired ever since the death of his rider, King Jahaerys.

Given Vermithor’s size, he would be one of the few dragons able to detain Vhagar.
She is the dragon that Aemond approaches, who breathes fire at him.
Before this, she was ridden by Rhaena Targaryen, King Jaehaerys' oldest sister.
