It begins with Laszlo’s creation, called Cravensworth’s monster, entering a new phase of his existence.

And what is that?

Well, he’s constantly horny.

A problem that seems to afflict many in the household now that I think about it.

The monster wants to hump everything, so now it’s time to make him a bride.

Maybe they can use The Guide (Kristen Schaal) for that.

What really matters is thatthe documentary crew has decided that they’re done because they have enough footage.

Come daylight, it’s over.

“All good things must come to an end,” Nadja says.

Laszlo, played by Matt Berry, Nadja, played by Natasia Demetriou, and Nandor, played by Kayvan Novak, at their trial in ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Season 1, Episode 7.

Oh, if they only knew that the show has actually been about him all along.

After all, this isn’t the first documentary that’s been made about them.

It’s easy to see how chaotic their lives were without Guillermo there to calm things down.

What We Do in the Shadowsoffers a comedic glimpse into the nightly lives of four vampire roommates—Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and energy vampire Colin Robinson—residing in Staten Island. Alongside their human familiar, Guillermo, they navigate modern challenges like paying rent, attending social events, and dealing with supernatural politics, all while maintaining their centuries-old habits.

But Guillermo is disappointed to see that everything happening now has happened before.

Nothing changes, no one ever grows, it’s pointless, yadda, yadda.

The episode then becomes a comment onTV series finale expectations and how they’re so hard to get right.

“I dont live to drain; I drain to live.”

Nandor is crushed that they won’t be crime fighters together, but he accepts his choice.

Guillermo calls him “master,” but Nandor tells him he can use his real name.

It’s also sad but fitting ending, one often seen in series finales.

Why must they always rip our hearts out by having a main character leave?!

Why can’t everyone just stay together in the end?!

He isn’t leaving at all, but was trying to give the documentary an emotional ending.

Guillermo’s smile before the coffin drops says it all.
