Im always happy every time we get an update there.
You dont feel like youre just being fed new shit.
The memory of the experience that you lived through, over the last five seasons, hasnt been forgotten.

That was someone elses idea.
The world is so well drawn, and now drawn out to 61 episodes.
Does this final season live up to that again?

Are you surprised that this series continued to deliver at that level, six seasons in?
Thats just testament to the incredible writing talent and the ensemble of writers, led by Paul Simms.
The most devious vampires in New York Citay.
Every season of this series, we wonder what the dynamic between Nandor and Guillermo will be.
How does that shape their dynamic in the last season?
That was Nandors leverage.

Thats fun enough, by itself, but then you get hypnotized into being Richard Nixon.
What was that like to do?
How did you find your inner Richard Nixon?
NOVAK: They hinted at that.
Before we went to film the season, I got a tip off that I should watchErin Brockovich.
I was like, I aint watching that.
What We Do in the Shadowsoffers a comedic glimpse into the nightly lives of four vampire roommates—Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and energy vampire Colin Robinson—residing in Staten Island. Alongside their human familiar, Guillermo, they navigate modern challenges like paying rent, attending social events, and dealing with supernatural politics, all while maintaining their centuries-old habits.
So, I did.
And if I got away with it, then fantastic.
Nandor and his roommates also forgot, until this season, that they had another roommate.
What was it like to throw someone new into that mix?
NOVAK: [Michael Patrick] OBrien was delightful.
It was like he was part of the furniture.
He could have been a real sore thumb.
Were a very established ensemble, and he might have been Mr.
Ambitious and tried to really assert himself among us.
I loved working with him.
Hes so funny man.
I was laughing all the time when he was acting.
The hit FX comedy will sink its teeth into one more season this year.
How does that typically work for you?
NOVAK: I read Nandors lines and Im like, This is great.
I dont need to change this.
you could throw some bits in, here and there.
Im not really a prep planner, as far as improvising different lines.
Usually, its all there on the page for me.
If I felt that I had to do that all the time, it would feel like a drag.
It wouldnt feel fresh, in the moment.
Its always been a very fertile ground for new ideas.
They put the work in, in the writers room.
They dont half-ass it and hope that we come up with something better.
They always bring the goods.
What is it like to have to say goodbye to a character youve played for that long?
Its gonna be a hard one to leave, on a lot of levels.
We were like a big family.
A lot of actors spend their entire career and never do a job as good as this.
Even if it’s just one, six years is incredible.
