I didnt originally plan to watchHouse of the Dragon.

This wasnt because of any lack of interest Im a big fan of genre television and fantasy stories.

This wasnt the only reason I decided to checkHouse of the Dragonout.

House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones

But anything beyond that went over my head (if it was there at allI wouldnt know!).

In many ways, this was a blessing in disguise.

Despite this density of lore and characters, I thinkHouse of the Dragonstill works well independent ofGame of Thrones.

Theres one other facet of my experience I feel is worth mentioning.

Going intoHouse of the Dragon, I wasnt particularly worried about havingGame of Thronesspoiled for me.

But I hadnt considered the other factor reviews and fan discussions arent bound by such continuity.

I dont know, but I think its a question worth considering.

I dont think that watchingHouse of the Dragonhas inspired me to finally dive intoGame of Thrones.

But more importantly, theres really not that much inHouse of the Dragonto compel me to watch it.

I likedHouse of the Dragonfor its characters, its themes, and its own narrative.

So for now, I’ll remain a part of this odd little demographic.
