Earlier this week, Warner Bros. released thefirst trailer for theVeronica Marsmovie, and I noted how it was almost strictly for the fans.
This created the problem of how to create new fans when there’s no easy way to watch the series.
According toTHR, Amazon has now swooped in to take care of that problem by striking a deal with Warner Bros. to stream the series to Amazon Prime members.
For those who don’t know, Amazon Prime costs $79 a year and you get free two-day shipping on almost everything Amazon sells, and you get access to their streaming library.
It’s not as well-organized or diverse as Netflix’s selection, but it’s still pretty solid, and gettingVeronica Marsis a good deal for anyone who’s the least bit interested in catching up on all three seasons of the series before the film comes out on March 14th.
Unlike other Amazon exclusives likeDownton Abbey,Under the Dome, andJustified, this isn’t to build interest in future seasons.
This is for a movie that’s coming out in theaters, and I’m not sure how much this will move the needle, especially withVeronica Marsonly two months away.
