The anthology film starred some big British names likePeter Cushing, but my favorite story was the first.

I am still highly uncomfortable with Mr. Claus.
Each segment of the film sees the Cryptkeeper showing these strangers how they will die.
In this segment, we are taken into a house on a snowy Christmas Eve night.

A spooky blast from the past.
Terrified, Joanne begins closing the inside shutters and locking the doors.
He then attacks Joanne as a punishment for her naughty crime.
He could be anywhere, moving slowly like a ghost, watching and waiting.
But before I ever sawHalloween, there was the killer Santa inTales from the Crypt.
Decades later, that fear is still there.
Leaving her home at night, she told me she was going to ring a bell behind me.
A few years ago, I had an experience that sealed the fear forever.
He saw me and said nothing at all.
It might have been the middle of summer, but the killer Santa had found me.
Still, as terrifying as that was, it has nothing on the movie.
I felt safer in reality than I did watchingTales from the Crypt.
