The publicity stunt didnt only make his show a hit, it caught the attention of Hollywood.

The gimmick was elaborate and did exactly what Castle hoped it would do.

Attendees filled out the beneficiary slip in theaters with fake nurses in the lobby.

The marketing ploy certainly worked.Macabrewent on to make $2 million on a budget of $100,000.

But while Castles gimmicks eventually faded in popularity, his legacy hasnt.
