The performances are likewise stiff, making it difficult to invest in their plight.
Despite overwhelmingly negative reviews, Paranormal Entity spawned three sequels.
Both the technology-powered warriors and the evil artificial intelligence feel ripped straight out ofTerminator 2.
The direction is unsteady and the acting isn’t convincing.
As the relationship between the two women deepens, Rebecca’s possessive tendencies turn dangerous, with deadly consequences.
The similarities are so strong that this film feels like an uncredited remake.
Predictably, this snoozefest builds up to an anticlimactic finale; thriller fans should avoid it.
It even came out in the same month.
The creatures wreak havoc, causing chaos and terror, while the teens take a stab at stop them.
Following a brain injury, a woman suspects her husband is an impostor and struggles with unsettling visions and calls from someone claiming to be her real spouse, pushing her to question her sanity.
There’s not even much ‘so bad it’s good’ ironic entertainment value here.
The animation is, at best, hideous.
The colors are similarly flat and cheap, and the action sequences are uniformly stilted.
The writing fares no better.
The dialogue is juvenile, at times cringe-inducingly crude, and utterly lacking in wit.
Finally, the voice-acting is phoned-in and lackluster.
All of this means that the movie feels interminable despite clocking in at just 51 minutes.
