Together, the two of themgo to Florida every January and February during thepython breeding season.
But he shared that the producers told himthey would venture to get him in as many as possible.
However, she admitted that the hunt is exciting and thatshe always holds the serpentsonce they have been captured.
Hackathorn talked aboutThe Florida Python Challenge,held annually in August by the Wildlife Commission.
The goal of the challenge is to promote the human removal of pythons witha $10,000 grand prize.
However, Hackathorn explained that isunlikely for the dangerous python population to be completely eradicated.
The hunter explained that the reptiles have beenbreeding in the Everglades for decadesnow.
This makes them thedominant predators in the region.
He shared that because the Everglades closely resemble their native habitats, Burmese pythons easily outcompete other species.
Hackathorn also shared details on the bounties offered for Python captures.
