At the recent Los Angeles press day for the film, I landed an exclusive interview withScarlett Johansson.
Collider: First of all, congratulations on the movie, Im sure your hearing that from everyone.
It must be very tough promoting a movie that everyone seems to love.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON: Umm… [Laughs].
Its very exciting to be a part of a film that people are rooting for to begin with.
Obviously your character is an integral part of the Marvel universe and for the foreseeable future.

Theres definitely especially with theCivil Warcoming up I think its pretty clear where the pieces will fall.
How excited are you to jump back in to something that so many fans are looking forward to?
It will be interesting to see how they treat all of these new characters.

Have you read the script forCivil War?
What was your reaction when you did?

JOHANSSON: I have read the script forCivil War.
JOHANSSON: [Laugh].
I cant say anything about that.

JOHANSSON: I think that…Its…I cant say anything [Laughs].
Are you in both parts of that, do you know?

JOHANSSON: I dont know, I believe so.
But are you nearing the end of your contract?
So basically you still have multiple pictures left or its been a good relationship back and forth?

So whatever youre contracted to should not feel like golden handcuffs, and they dont want that either.
Im glad youll be around.
JOHANSSON: Yeah, I will certainly be around and thats because its been such a great response.
I mean, Im always happy to put the cat suit back on, for sure.
JOHANSSON: I think that theres room for a standalone movie.
I have this epic calling, but I wanna make a choice for myself.
If you dont mind, have you actually asked Kevin, Hey, Kevin…?
JOHANSSON: Ive spoken to Kevin about it.
I think I can speak for him and say that.
