The in-laws have some concerns, of course, but nothing that cant be assuaged.

This unease is quickly put to rest by her husband, who reminds her of House Velaryons military strength.

Its a win-win-win scenario for the young couple, their parents, and their respective paramours.

Sadly for him, things dont go quite as planned.

Ser Criston is a true knight.

House of the Dragon

A man of his word.

And thats precisely what makes him so dangerous.

Ser Criston then tries to take his own life, but is stopped by the merciful Queen Alicent.

Ser Cristons attempted suicide is interspersed between shots of Rhaenyra and Laenors small, somber wedding ceremony.

So far, theres no way of knowing whether hes dead or just passed out.
