Most notably, Sellers Clouseau is not the main character, buthis sharp comedic timing stole the show.

Best of all, some ofthe film’s funniest scenes still hold up today.

However, the Chief Inspector escapes and becomes determined to do away with Clouseau inThe Pink Panther Strikes Again.

The film is the fifth in thePink Pantherseries, set three years afterThe Return of the Pink Panther.

Even predictable gags manage to pay off, with Sellers and a deliciously unhingedPeter Lomin fine form.
