Court is back in session!
The third season of theNBCseries,Night Court, returns this November.
She recruits her fathers former colleague, Dan Fielding (John Larroquette), as the courts public defender.

Together, they oversee the oddball and eccentric cases that make their way through the courtroom doors.
There’s really fun energy here, and I think we’re all just gearing up to come back.
The feeling was mutual with the other cast members.

It feels great, echoedNyambi Nyambi, who joined the cast as Wyatt during the second season.
We get to do more stuff together, make each other laugh, play, and escape.
Before the third season gets rolling,the second season left audiences on a cliffhanger.
Theres a chance that Abbys boyfriend, Jake (Ryan Hansen), could be Dans son.
I was really excited that we ended on that cliffhanger to launch us into the season, Rauch remarked.
We’re both looking at each other going, What?

We find out by the end of Episode 2 if Dan is in fact Jake’s father.
What Should Audiences Expect From Wendie Malicks Return as Julianne Walters?
The former convict has turned over a new page,joining theNight Courtfamily as its newest district attorney.
Malick had been a recurring guest during the first two seasons of the series.
But this is television and the miracle of television.
I’m in Project Second Chance, and Abby gave me my break.
Her other castmates agreed and shared this sentiment.
We spent a lot of time with her in the second season, soshe just fell right into place.
In Season 1, Julianne entered his life for seduce him and get revenge for prosecuting her years ago.
Naturally, Dan is wary of her at the beginning of the third season.
Malick had this to say:
Well I think Dan and I have a very strange chemistry.
In a similar fashion, Larroquette recognizesthe will-they-wont-they dynamicsbetween Dan and Julianne.
And if they become in a relationship, that sort of takes the grit out of the machine.
So they can’t be on each other’s nerves to tempt each other, to tease each other.
I think that whatever happens, it’ll be a long road.
Lacretta even admitted thatshe always giggles watching her [Malick] and John [Larroquette] together.
Fox, just to name a few.
The revival season series is no exception.
Plus,Rhys Darbyjoined in on the fun as Duke Alistair Tully, Gurgs long-distance boyfriend.
That’s good because I don’t want to be the one to spoil anything so we’ll see!
She also mentioned thatJessica St. ClairandJulia Duffywill be back again in Season 3.
For allThe Big Bang Theoryfans out there, expect to see some familiar faces again this season.
Rauch told Collider, There’ll definitely be someBig Bangfaces again this season.
So far, it was revealed thatMayim Bialikwould be playinga fictionalized version of herself.
As for anyone else from the long-runningCBSsitcom, it remains to be seen.
As far as any dream guest stars of walking intoNight Court, Wendie Malick had some ideas.
We’re neighbors and friends and we ride together.
We have animals on a ranch, and he is one of the funniest people I know.
If you recall, John Larroquette played Maltz inStar Trek III: The Search for Spockin 1984.
When this callback was brought up during the set visit, Larroquette said it was fun.
Luckily, it didn’t take five and a half hours as the original did every morning.
As far as the third season goes, Melissa Rauch revealed thatthere would be more themed episodes.
One in particular to expect soon a murder mystery Christmas episode.
Heres what Rauch had to say about it:
We have some fun costumes in that one.
We shot that as our third episode.
That was super super fun.
That’s a good theme one.
The answer seems to be yes.
The original cast members ofNight Courtthat appeared in this episode include Harry Anderson,Charlie Robinson, andMarkie Post.
This episode also featuredFriendsstarJennifer Anistonin a separate subplot, hence the episode title name.
Lacretta shared that she was on an episode of 30 Rock.
It was so fast.

Not all of it will always be funny, which kind of enriches it.
It’s harder to make you care about people, I think, when you’re doing a sitcom.
But when the writing’s good, it’s one of the best jobs in the world.
And they happen to have really good writers here.
Because the world is sufficiently crazy and sometimes scary.
Executive producer and star Melissa Rauch agreed with Malicks remarks.
She called the live audience the oldest form of entertainment.
