When I read it, I was like, Okay, where is my story in here?
Whats fantastic about Stephen Kings novels are his characters.
Whats fascinating for me playing Audrey is just this journey that she goes on.
Does it seem that way to you, or do you think this is just a quick trend?
Emily: Im really excited and honored to be playing this part.
Its so rare that you actually get to find a really well-written female lead.
Audrey is an orphan, and she literally is trying to discover the mystery of her family.
Thats been the hardest thing for me to relate to, honestly.
I have a family.
I have a home base.
Theres actually a duality thats quite essential for Audrey, especially in the town.
Through her discovery and her investigation of whats going on there, she has these one-on-one relationships with people.
Shes a woman and she can connect to these people, which actually ends up helping them, ultimately.
Whats it been like to shoot in Nova Scotia?
Emily: Its been so great shooting in Nova Scotia.
Were filming out in the middle of nowhere.
Were filming in this very small fishing and lobster town.
You come into this town and everyones like, And you are?
Its so interesting because, every place you walk into, everybody knows everyone.
Its been a really, really fun experience.
This place is perfect.
That town is eye candy.
How procedural and closed-ended is this show?
Do you have on-going stories?
Emily: I think its both.
Every week is something different that shes encountering in this town, like real life.
Every week in a small town is very different.
Something is going on.
Its got that feel.
Emily: For me, I think its literally the grittiness of his characters.
These characters come out of The Colorado Kid.
Thats what happens as a result of living in this world.
You will buy it and youll believe because youre connected with the characters.
You could really know this person and you could really feel the emotional stuff of what shes going through.
Thats honestly the really important thing to hang onto, through the series.
Do you have a sense that your fans fromUnchartedare going to be following you with this project?
Emily: I love them, and yes, they will.
Theyre already taking the Internet by storm, in that way.
