ANNA PAQUIN: Thats just how it is.
Wed been developing this show for years.
My business partners, my husband, and I read these scripts six or seven years ago.

This is how its evolved.
We knew we would find a home.
We were like, Okay, cool, so were home.

And we now have an entire second season for you to air that is gift wrapped.
Do you still hope that youll also get to do a Season 3?
Have you had conversations about that?

So, there hadnt been any conversations yet, but look at whats happening around us.
I have not personally been really pushing in one direction or another.
I love this character.

I love these people.
Its always fun to get to do more, but everything has changed.
What do you like about collaborating with him on so many different levels?
PAQUIN: Hes a very gifted director, and I dont hand that out lightly.
Thats just how his brain works and he has no ego about it.
The best idea in the room wins.
He runs a calm, nice, collaborative set.
Weve all been on those ones, as actors, where its [not that way].
I dont know if youve met my husband, but hes just really nice.
I just feel really lucky that we get to get to play together.
Have you given any thought to directing, yourself?
Is that something you want to do?
I absolutely will, at some point.
And I havent found that story yet.
Would you want to direct yourself, or is that something youd want to avoid?
It wouldnt be my ideal, but loads of people do it.
I have no strong desire to direct myself.
I really like getting direction from other people who know what theyre doing and have objectivity.
I dont really like looking at myself on camera, if I dont have to.
But Im also a pragmatist, so I do whatever I need to do to get my baby made.
What have you learned about being a producer?
PAQUIN: The first thing that I ever produced was something with my brother, about 15 years ago.
He came from the world of finance, and I was the creative aspect of that.
Theres always going to be tons more for me to learn.
I like details and I like being involved in the process of putting together the puzzle.
That just feels really satisfying.
But Im still a baby producer.
Ive got loads to learn.
Youve said that you hadnt heard anything about theTrue Bloodreboot before the announcement was made.
Youve played some pretty awesome characters.
Where does a character like Robyn fromFlackfall in your heart, among like the characters that you played?
All of her stuff comes from such an honest place of complete damage and pain and personal trauma.
And she just says it like it is.
She and I have that in common.
Its a fun character.
I love that theres equal parts comedy and drama.
It feels real and grounded in celebrity culture and in the world that we live in.
I will defend her.
She does some shady shit, but Im her biggest defender.
Flackis available to stream at Amazon Prime Video on January 22nd.
