Sitcomshave been around for decades and are a beloved part of theprimetime TVline-up.

While many have moved tostreamingnowadays, there are still plenty of internet sitcoms to watch.

But there have been times when cast changes have occurred.

Some are relatively recent, others from decades ago.

But in every case, the stories made major headlines.

In 2018, more than 20 years afterRoseanneended, the show was revived and it was a huge success.

But one Tweet from Barr that was deemed racist led to her swift firing from the show she created.

Adding insult to injury,Roseannecontinued without her in the form ofThe Conners.

Her character was killed off via drug overdose, designed to shed light on the opioid epidemic in America.

Sheen was entering drug rehabilitation, so the show went on hiatus.

There was discussion of him deciding to leave the show, then re-signing his contract and returning.

He went on to sue both Warner Bros. and Lorre.

Meanwhile, Lorre got the last laugh when he broughtTwo and a Half Menback withAshton Kutcheras a new character.

Sheen has since admitted regret for his actions,tellingYahoo!

WhetherKevin Can Waitwas good or not, it didnt matter.

Chase appeared in the first four seasons and was credited as a guest actor for season five.

After being let go from the show, Chase went on to criticize it.

He was a goalie for the Boston Bruins who met her at the bar and they fell in love.

He only appeared sparingly whenever he visited the bar to see his wife and have a drink.

But between seasons six and seven of the long-running iconic show, the character was killed off.

And it all had to do with unsavory things Thomas said about his co-star.

Thomas went on to star inMurphy Brown, but his harsh words were never forgotten.

Garlin, for the record, stood firm that he was not fired but chose to leave.

He chalked up his controversial words to his process of being funny and his innate silliness.

This included the use of outtakes, CGI, and stand-ins.

He even won a Golden Globe for his role.

But the accolades were short-lived.

His character was written off, the story suggesting he broke things off with McBeal through an impersonal note.

As fans know, he did just that and his career has thrived since.

As the pair discussed on the reunion, she was presented with what she believed was an unfair contract.

That has nothing to do with Reids performance, but she simply couldnt compare to Hubert for the role.

Whatever the truth is, Blairs exit from the show came as a surprise and sparked plenty of rumors.

Because of this, the character was written to have dropped out of school to travel to Africa.

The show went on to be a success, airing for six seasons.

But the reason Bonet was let go would never happen today.
